About us

SUDOSERVICE has been in existence for over 30 years and is now managed by the second generation.

The success story of SUDOSERVICE begins in 1988, when engineer André Jeznach, after several years of successful work in the marine equipment industry, decides to establish his own company. In December 1989 this idea is put into practice.

The company's headquarters for the first few years was an office on the 7th floor of the Überseezentrum in Hamburg's Freeport. The company specialized in ship spare parts for customers from Eastern Europe (hence the name: "Sudo" Russian = "ship" ).

From O-rings to complete main engines, SUDOSERVICE supplies the complete range of technical ship needs.

Expansion

The collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991 and the resulting new free markets allow SUDOSERVICE to expand rapidly.

In 1997, the company expands its delivery program to include steel. Since then, SUDOSERVICE has been supplying shipbuilding steel, pipes, bends and fittings to shipyards and repair companies.

The customer base is now no longer limited to Eastern Europe. Shipowners, shipyards, ship managers and companies all over the world choose SUDOSERVICE as a competent partner.

Challenges in the delivery of spare parts arise every day. In 1998 the offices and the storage space in the Überseezentrum become too small. At the beginning of 1999, André Jeznach decides to build a new company headquarters with a high-bay warehouse. Already in December SUDOSERVICE moves into the new headquarters.
Since then SUDOSERVICE offers a large stock of standard parts for various marine engines such as shafts, bearings, pistons, cylinder heads, gaskets and much more.

Change of generations

In 2013, Mark Jeznach, son of the company's founder, joined the company and Sudoservice changed its name to a limited liability company. Currently, SUDOSERVICE employs five people.

In 2014 Sudoservice GmbH joins the Maritime Cluster Northern Germany (Maritimes Cluster Norddeutschland).

Just in time for the SMM Hamburg 2016 trade fair, Sudoservice becomes the official sales partner for Wärtsilä Seals and Bearings. This includes the Deep Sea Seal (DSS), John Crane Lips, Cedervall and JMT brands.

With the start of 2017, Sudoservice becomes the official sales and service partner for Baudouin motors.
